Poson Full Moon day ポソン満月祭り

６月の満月は「ポソン祭り」。仏教がスリランカにもたらされたお祝いです。多くの場所で、人々は無料で食べるものや飲み物を提供する「ダンサル」で振舞います。リトル・トゥリーではひよこ豆のダンサルをしました。７５キロ用意した豆をゆでて、小さく切ったココナツの果肉を混ぜて、木の葉でつくったコップで配りました。２５分という短い時間で瞬く間に全部配り終わってしまいました。来年は１００キロ配ろうとみな、満面の笑みでした。

On Full Moon day in June, called ‘Poson', Little Tree children, parents, and teachers gathered together for ‘Dansal’ which is giving meal, tea, ice cream, fruits, etc. for free to people. They organized Chickpea Dansal. They prepared 75kg of chickpeas and boiled and mixed them with little pieces of coconut. There were no leftovers after just 25 minutes of serving. All were really happy like the full moon, and teachers said  they'd prepare 100kg for next year!
